Role: Admin Assistant
(Maternity Cover) - Ilkeston
A position has arisen for a temporary Admin Assistant (up to 1 year's maternity cover) commencing on 12th March 2012, to provide an efficient and professional admin support to the design team. This role is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic, proactive and reliable individual to join our team.
Based in Ilkeston, key responsibilities are:
- Answering calls from customers and dealing with general enquiries
- Providing a proactive support service to the Design Team
- Maintaining customer records including logging enquiries and updating customer records
- Prepare delivery notes
- Filing and all other general admin duties
You: Exceptional
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proficient PC office skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Gets it right first time every time approach
- Ability to learn, develop and continually improve performance and effectiveness.
- A flexible approach and ability to respond to customer needs.
Previous experience is preferred but not necessary.
The rate of pay for this position is £7.18 per hour.

Role: HR Administrator
We currently seek to recruit an experienced committed, high performing individual to provide effective support to our HR Team. This role, based at our head office in Markinch, would provide assistance to the HR, Payroll and IMS functions within the department.
Key elements of this full time role will involve:
- Producing standard letters and employment contracts
- Assisting with recruitment process from CV acknowledgement through to regret letters
- Travel administration including management of team diaries
- Providing confidential admin support for disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Maintaining and updating HR and Payroll systems
- Producing monthly headcount, turnover, absence and accident statistics
- Producing training packs and updating the Training system

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous administration experience within an HR/Payroll environment
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills
- Proficient PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HR Database and Payroll Systems)
- Maintains good working relationships with colleagues
The successful candidate will ideally be CPP qualified or working towards CIPD membership.

The key performance areas of this role will involve:
- Interpreting architects drawings
- Providing proactive and effective support service to customers including quotations and designs
- Building relationships with existing and new customers
- Effectively dealing with customer enquiries within agreed service levels
- Using the relevant design software, convert customer requirements and specifications in to commercial solutions and designs
- Providing technical support and resolving customer queries or complaints
- Providing production units with necessary manufacturing information
